The Blve Santa Cvlt’s one-of-a-kind Poppets embody an eclectic blending of traditional Astrological and Magickal techniques. The BSC Poppet is a workable altar tool and ikon; a unique fusion of image magick, charged talisman, and a reciprocal spiritual familiar.

Magickal Applications:  A vessel for the borderless and ephemeral witches of the hedge. Bearing no talon or fang, the Hare spirit relies on fleetness of foot, and wit, to thrive. A worthy ally in hedgecrossing, shapeshifting, and liminal transgression, as well as a vigilant sentry.

The 11th issue of the extraordinary UK occvlt journal, Hellbore @helleborezine - their “Animal Issue”- features a terrific article by Elizabeth Dearnley, called ‘Running With Hares.” According to Dearnely;

“Perhaps their likeness and unlikeness to rabbits, gives hares an additional uncanny quality, a rabbit through the looking glass; we think we know them, better than we do.”

The very first Blve Santa Cvlt poppet that we created, that *wasn’t* a little blve Jovian household spirit, was a rabbit. Rabbits are a lifelong ally to the Cvlt, and their presence as the first in a new line of animal specific marteria is not happenstance. The BSC rabbit poppet features forward-set, anthropomorphic eyes that connect the lepordiae, to the human gaze, in a very soulful and emotional way. Our rabbit poppet is empathetic, intuitive, and utterly Lvnar.

Alternately, our new Hare poppet features the *inhuman*, side-facing eyes, that suggest the distinctly other, and feral, quality of the witch. The Hare is a wilder, more cunning, and untamed Thing. This is a poppet for the transgressive witch, the outlier, and the outcast.
