This unusual spell kit represents the culmination of our Cvltvs Leporidae range of materia, a line of poppets and complimentary magickal products intended to offer support and enhancement to those that work with the Spirit of the Hare. When considering the magickal applications of the Hare modality, one classical magickal concern lept to the forefront: invisibility.

Our invisibility spell is inspired by that trusty compendium of late antiquity Egyptian fusion sorcery, the Greek Magical Papyri (PGM). An uncommonly *simple* spell in its original form - using just three components, and an incantation - we have selected this particular spell, because of its underlying magickal technique. Rather than attempt to render the sorcerer physically *invisible*, PGM 222 instead “blinds” the sorceror’s target, making those that might otherwise “see” them, unable to.  This is a secret of invisibility; sometimes the best way to avoid being seen, is to be uncomfortable to look at. Averted eyes are blinded eyes.Although the classical ritual appeals to the Hellenistic solar deity Helios, we have modified the spell in tribute to a specific epithet of our beloved Goddess Hekate, in Her form as Phôtoplêx’, which roughly translates to “She who strikes with light.” The creation of an icon to Hekate Phôtoplêx furnishes the spell with both owl “eye balls”, in the form of transubstantiated plant materia, as well as providing a ritual structure to consecrate our Kyphi.
