These OOAK depictions represent the notorious black-book writer as we have longed to see him. A figure whose posthumous shadow far exceeds his living legacy, the sorceror-for-hire turned Bishop is an exemplar of the adage that “the witch who can not curse, can not heal.”
Unlike many Saints whose iconography is immediately evident - ie. Saint Lucy’s plattered eyes, or the flayed Bartholomew, presenting his flesh-suit - the diabolical Cyprian doesn’t have an immediately recognizable short-hand, in art. Nevertheless, there are recurring motifs in depiction of the sorcerous Saint, and each of these Cyprians (Cyprianii?) bears an element, from his various depictions. This Cyprian features a Bishop's crozier, and His hand is set in the Mano Figa.
